Using Lemongrass Oil to Kill Toenail Fungus is Not Strong Enough

Natural remedies usually work very well when dealing with different medical issues. Mother Nature knows what she's doing. Many times a combination of natural ingredients is needed to actually make a positive difference. The right combination can be a powerful homeopathic treatment. Using lemongrass oil to kill toenail fungus is a case in point. For it to work best, it needs to be combined with other oils, natural moisturizers or natural acids.

Another name for nail fungus is Onychomycosis. It is difficult to get rid of for a variety of reasons. The nail is made up of keratin, a protein. The fungus lives in it and has an unending source of food. It embeds itself in the nail where it is very well sheltered. You know if you have a fungus by the appearance of the nail. It becomes very soft and and has a yellow tinge. Although the nail is soft, it is difficult to reach the fungus with a treatment.

Alone, lemongrass oil is a natural antiseptic. However, it takes more to be truly effective. Mixing it with other antiseptics and natural moisturizers, gives it a powerful boost to actually penetrate to the location of the fungus.

Jointly, an oral antiseptic is the ultimate treatment. This is works on eliminating the fungus through the blood and partners with the topical solution. Together, they work beautifully. Using only a topical solution which is too harsh can harm the surrounding skin.

Alone, lemongrass oil to kill toenail fungus is not an effective treatment. However, it is very effective when used with a combination of natural ingredients.
